You all know that I’m requiring you to be bloggers for Comp527. What you may not understand is what that entails. It’s easier to explain what not to do. Do not post a link to a news article and say, “Wow, I had no idea.” and leave it at that. That’s okay on Facebook, but not here. I want to see your opinion. Write a paragraph explaining why something is novel or different or unusual or worthy of our attention.
Also, FYI, when I’m doing the ultimate “class participation” part of your grade, I count how many posts you’ve made on this blog (and I don’t count content-free posts). I also count how many replies you make to other people’s posts (and again, I discount content-free replies).
Anyway, reminder that there’s no class on Monday, and we resume on Wednesday as usual.
